Sustainability at SignWorks
RUNNING ON SOLAR ENERGY
The SignWorks facility is equipped with solar panels installed on its roof to harness solar energy. Solar energy contributes to 83% of our total power, cutting 400 tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to planting 11,000 trees per year.
Solar installation project on the roof top of SignWorks Building has been completed and commissioned in December 2021
Total Energy Produced from Solar: 995,576 KWh, which is 83% of Total Power Consumption in 2022, Reduction of 400 Tons of CO2 Emission and equivalent to 11,000 Trees planted.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY STILL MATTERS
Savings From AC
Energy Efficient AC, smart controlling of thermostats using the application, installing air curtains, blind curtains on glass areas, changing the duct designs to maximize AC efficiency. This is estimated to a result 25% reduction in energy from AV in 2022.
Energy Efficient Machineries
Variable Frequency Drive Compressor-energy reduction of 24% in 2022 Fiber Laser Machine-energy reduction of 8% in 2022.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION

Recycling Materials
All recyclable waste generated on the workshop floor is sorted and sent for recycling instead of ... landfill. In 2023 this totaled over 364 tons: 21.13 tons of mild steel, 5.45 tons of stainless steel, 6.56 tons of aluminum, 13.54 tons of acrylic, 307.65 tons of MDF, and 10.74 tons of paper and cartons.

Re-using Material
All products coming back after the removal from the sites are dismantled ... segregated (MDF, LED, LED Drives, Acrylic etc.), and reused in the next product when possible.

Reduction of Waste Materials
More focus on using plywood and recycled wood panels like ... steel wood, instead of MDF

Sustainable Packaging
Instead of MDF, we use a mix and combination of plywood, cardboard and palm ... board which are eco-friendly, reusable, and easily biodegradable.

Solvent Recovery Machine
The introduction of a solvent recovery machine in Oct 2022 drastically ... reduced the wastage and disposal of solvents. It is estimated that 23 Drums (4,600 Ltrs) of waste thinner has been recovered and reused in three months (Oct22-Dec22).

Energy Efficient Machinery
With our aim to innovate and transform into more sustainable, we have developed ... our own strategy to make fiberglass products 30-50% sustainable. This was achieved by replacing conventional silica and glass wools with cotton sheets and wood dust. Wood dusts for this process are taken from the carpentry, meaning the waste from carpentry department are used to make another product.

3D Printing
In-house 3D printing lets us produce prototypes and small-run components on demand, cutting material waste ... and reducing reliance on outsourced production and its associated transport emissions.

Centralized Cryogenic Liquid Nitrogen
Use of a centralized cryogenic liquid nitrogen tank (2000 L) to replace ... individual compressed cylinders and optimize the nitrogen usage for fiber laser machine. Also reduced the risk of using individual cylinders. This was resulted in reduction of approx. 300 cylinders in 2022.
