What shopfitting includes

Shopfitting covers everything that turns an empty retail unit into a working store: store fittings and retail fixtures including gondolas, plinths and display tables; wall systems and shelving with integrated lighting; cash desks and service counters, the highest-wear and most visible joinery in the store; fitting rooms with seating, mirrors and hardware; display units and vitrines for jewellery, watches and high-value product; millwork and bespoke joinery; and back-of-house racking and storage.

Some of these are catalogue items for most suppliers. We build them to the specific drawing, material and finish your brand specifies.

In-house shopfitting manufacture

Our fixtures are made in our own facilities, on our own machines, by our own teams: carpentry and joinery, CNC cutting, laser cutting, waterjet cutting, metal fabrication, spray painting and artistic painting, fiberglass and styrofoam sculpting, digital printing, electrical and lighting assembly, 3D printing and installation.

When shopfitting is subcontracted, every fixture crosses several companies before it reaches site, and each crossing is a chance for a finish to come back wrong or a date to slip. We hold the whole sequence in one building, so a change to a drawing in week three is a change to our own schedule rather than a renegotiation with four suppliers.

How a shopfitting project runs

Survey and brief. We measure the unit and check services, access, floor loading and landlord constraints.

Design and technical drawings. Production drawings for every fixture covering materials, construction, finishes, hardware, lighting and fixing details, for approval before anything is cut.

Landlord and authority approvals. Where a project needs them, we prepare and submit the approval packages ourselves.

Manufacture. Production in our own facility, with finishes matched to the approved reference.

Delivery and installation. Our own installation teams, working to the site’s access hours, including overnight work in operating malls.

Handover and snagging. Final walk-through, snag list and rectification by the same team that built the fixtures.

Shopfitting across the UAE and GCC

We fit out stores throughout the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, and across the wider region from our production facilities in Dubai, Doha and Riyadh. For brands rolling out several stores, manufacturing in-region is what keeps a fleet consistent rather than approximately similar.

How long does a retail shopfit take?

Typically 3 to 4 weeks from approved drawings through manufacture to installation, depending on the size of the store and the complexity of the fixtures. Larger stores and multi-site rollouts are programmed in phases.
